60 year old club owner captains team to a hilarious 6nil loss

Sixty year old owner of Inter Moengotapoe, Ronnie Brunswijk captained himself in a CONCACAF league match against Olimpia on Tuesday 21st September.
Ronnie who is also the vice president of Suriname played 54 minutes before being substituted. Inter Moengotapoe however lost the game by six goals to nothing.

He however made history by being the oldest man to feature in an international football competition and played alongside his son Damian Brunswijk. This raised a lot of eyebrows from the media who were not pleased by the decision.

The assistant coach of Olimpia, Gustavo Reggi said it came as a shock to them when they found out the president would feature in the game. He added they were happy with the results though they were expecting to win. He also concluded the team is poised to win the second leg of their encounter.
