“NO GHANA CARD, NO SALARY” WITHHELD.

The Controller and Accountant General’s Department’s(CAGD) directive for all public sector workers to get their Ghana cards or forfeit their salaries by December 1st, 2021 has been suspended.

This decision was reached at a meeting by the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, Ministry of Finance, CAGD, and the leadership of Organised Labour representing public sector workers on CAGD payroll on Tuesday morning 19th October, 2021.

The CAGD has been tasked to port the names of Public sector Workers in their database onto the Nataional Identification Authority (NIA) platform and thereon inform the various institutions of any unregistered staff if there may be any existing.
