The military army raided his presidential palace fought off his presidential guards before finally arresting him.
Alpha Conde who has been in power since December 21, 2010, was seeking third term presidential re election before being ousted.
A Guinean army colonel has since gone on state television to say that President Alpha Conde’s government has been dissolved. The announcement in the West African nation came after hours of heavy gunfire erupted near the presidential palace.
