A trending video on social media in recent days which appears to be gaining popularity is a fusion of two (2) cropped video footages from two separate events; precisely, one emanates from a video footage sourced from the coverage of the adjudication of the election petition filed by the former president John Dramani Mahama and the other part of the trending video emanates from a section of the popular National Science and Math Quiz (NMSQ) signature sessions where competitors exhibit their arithmetic strength.
Conversely, as part of processes related to the said adjudication, the petitioner presented a couple of witnesses among which was Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia – the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who responded to a bunch questions from the lawyers of the first respondent (i.e.; lawyers representing the Electoral Commission of Ghana) and the second respondents (lawyers representing the President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo). And in the process of cross-examination Mr. Nketia was supposed to compute figures to prove the credibility and authenticity of his claims and witness statement in favour of the petitioner.
Now, the said trending video seem to have caught the attention of the Quiz mistress of NMSQ – Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann and below is her reaction to the rather hilarious video on her Twitter page which read; “I’m happy Ghanaians have finally caught on to the importance of Science and Math in everyday life!”
