Sankofa Spices CEO Wins 40 Under 40

Nana Owusu Odum, CEO of Gold Coast Food Herbs and Spices last night at the Kempiski Gold Coast Hotel won the prestigious 40 Under 40 award under the Agro Processing Category.

The Forty under 40 Award is to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nations most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age forty from a wide range of industries we cover, who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community service and have risen up the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age.

His company, Gold Coast Food, Herbs and Spices which commenced operations in 2016 is notably behind Sankofa Natural Spices and also Tealeys Natural Tea, which produces natural teas such as Moringa tea, Hibiscus (Bissap) and Lemongrass tea for export and for our local market.

With 70+ direct employees and 100+ indirect employees, he said the company exists to make life better by providing healthier and natural food options. If we can change people’s lives one at a time through healthier food, we would have fulfilled our purpose.

Sankofa is 100% natural spices free from MSG, Salt or any artificial preservatives. It comes in 6 varieties (chicken and beef, stew, soup, Jollof, fish and noodles).

Nana Owusu Odum holds a (BA) in Economics degree from the University of Ghana, an MBA and an MSC both from London.
