In a shocking turn of events, the Koforidua Asokore neighborhood in the Eastern Region is grappling with the apparent suicide of a well-known resident identified as Christopher Yaw, commonly referred to as Chris. The 30-year-old, known for his success in the community, was found dead in his room.

The discovery was made when concerned neighbors, noting Chris’s unusual absence from his daily routine, alerted the police. Upon entering his apartment, they found Chris’s lifeless body hanging in his bedroom. A suspected suicide note, written in red ink, was discovered and is currently in police custody.

Chris, considered a prosperous and affluent figure in the neighborhood, had built his own house and rented out several apartments. He owned multiple vehicles, portraying an image of success. However, in the days leading up to the tragic incident, some neighbors reported that Chris had displayed signs of depression and had spoken about feeling haunted by spirits.

The police, now conducting an investigation, have conveyed Chris’s body to the mortuary. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear as authorities piece together the events leading to this tragic end. Chris, who lived alone and was not married, was reportedly in a relationship with a woman with whom he shares a child.
